Easter Egg Hunt!

This past Saturday we headed out to Weldon Springs Park for an Easter egg hunt. They also had egg dyeing there as well, which was great since I didn't have to clean up any mess!
So here is the kids dyeing their Easter eggs.

Between dyeing their eggs and the egg hunt they had a little spare time so the kids decided to play on the playground equipment.
Here is Adriana being a big sister and pushing her baby brother.

The boys on the slide getting ready to race to the bottom.

Finally the egg hunt. Here is the three kids waiting patiently for the lady to say Go!

Andrew finding some eggs.

Adriana and her eggs.

And Joey getting in on the action too!

Well on our way back we found the Easter Bunny walking around. Of course Joey was still scared, but Andrew ran right up to the bunny and gave him a big hug!

The kids had a great time and can't wait for the next Easter egg hunt!

Sock Hop!

Friday night Adriana's girlscout troop attend a sock hop at Orchard Farm school. This is an annual event the girlscouts in the area all do. Adriana was so excited to go and especially after MawMaw bought her an adorable poodle skirt outfit.
The night was spent with about 200 girls screaming and dancing their little hearts out. It was so neat to see all these girls together having so much fun and everyone getting along so well especially considering the big age range.
Here is Adriana posing in her poodle skirt.

Here is a picture of maybe a third of the girls at the dance. Yes, it was a lot of girls.........all wearing the same outfits!

Adriana and her friend Charlize.

Adriana, Lauren, and Makalya.

Adriana, Christy, Lauren, Makalya, and Charlize all taking a break and posing for a group picture.

The girls all being silly together.

We had a great night and can't wait to go again next year!

Andrew's 1st soccer game!

This past Saturday night Andrew started playing outdoor soccer at Omni where Adriana also plays. Andrew is playing on a kindergarten team, however most kids on his team are 4 and 5 year olds. There first game was against a team that has been playing for several years together so needless to say it was a beating. But the opposing team was really sweet and took it easy on our boys the second half. I think they maybe only scored one goal compared to the 15 in the first half, which was good since Andrew was goalie the second half.
So here is some pictures of Andrew playing, he is in the royal blue with a white tshirt on.

Here he is playing goalie and throwing the ball back in.

Even though they played against a really hard team, the boys still had a great time playing. I'm so proud of all of them for toughing it out in the 30 degree raining night for their first game. They all played great and had a lot of fun!

Some big shoes to fill!

Since I haven't taken the kids to get their feet measured in awhile, Chris and I decided to take them while we were at the mall visiting the Easter Bunny. If kids feet are anyway related to puppy's feet and how big of a dog it will be, I will have to say we are going to have some BIG shoes to fill! Adriana is 6 1/2 and her feet are measuring a size 2 1/2! Andrew's is 4 and is wearing a size 13! Joey, my little two year old, is wearing a size 10!
Not only do I have to keep up with these three growing appetites, but trying to keep them in shoes is becoming just as much a challenge! I'm seriously going to have to find another job when these kids hit their teen years so that I can keep up with the grocery bill!!!!

Visit with Easter Bunny!

This past Saturday we took the kids up to visit Easter Bunny. Adriana and Andrew were super excited about the visit, but Joey was not so much. We asked him if he wanted to see Easter Bunny and he would answer "No dister bunny".
So before we headed out I got a picture of all three kids. I know in front of the door is not the best spot, but I was just trying to hurry and get out the door.

So we arrived at the mall for our visit and I knew immediately that Joey would be a no go for Easter Bunny's lap. Adriana and Andrew ran right up to the bunny (luckily there was no line at all) and sat down on his lap. Joey was fine until we got close then the tears came. I really didn't want to torture my poor little boy or the poor little bunny so I just opted for a photo of the older two. I know this isn't the best picture since its a picture of the picture, but regardless here it is.

So maybe next year I will be able to score a photo of all three kids.

Congratulations Adriana!

Congratulations to Adriana and her soccer team for finishing out their indoor league undefeated! The girls have come a long way since they first started and are really working well together. I can't wait to see what they will do on their outdoor league. Way to go Borromeo Bobcat Cubs!!!!!

Gymnastics!

After the two older kids finished up taking swimming lessons (which I forgot to get pictures of.....booo) they both decided they wanted to give gymnastics a try. So I enrolled them both at Olympiad Gymnastics. They both go on Thursday nights at the same time so it worked out great. This past Thursday was their first night and they both absolutely loved it! They keep asking when they get to go back. Here is a few pictures of their first night.

Day at the Zoo!

Adriana got a day off of school on Monday and it was supposed to be a beautiful day so we decided to go to the zoo for the day. We met up with my friend Whitney and her daughter Ava along with my friend Debbie and her kids Chase and Reece. The kids had an awesome time! We started our day off at the Zoomagination Station, which is always a favorite plus its FREE!
Here is Adriana playing in the sand. I took the picture as she was just about to turn her head.

Here is Chase and Andrew playing dress up with the zoo keeper outfits. They were too cute playing together!

Adriana playing in the garden and smelling the flowers.

Joey playing in the baby area.

Joey and Reece playing in the water table.

Joey playing in the sand.

We then headed to the kids zoo since it was right next door.
Here is Andrew posing with one of the frogs.

The three kids working together while playing at the treehouse.

Andrew petting a snake, mommy was not so brave though!

Here is the tree Kangaroo.

Joey and Reece playing together in the Jeep.

We left the children's zoo and started visiting the other animals.
Here is the Grizzly Bears.

A favorite spot is always at the penguin house!

Andrew, Chase, Adriana, and Ava all walking down the road together. They were so cute playing together all day!

Here is one of the bears eating lunch, which was cantalope.

Another favorite spot, the seals.

We had such a great day at the zoo together. And even though with our zoo membership we go several times a year, it never gets old and we can easily spend the entire day there.
So until next time........
"BYE ZOO!!!!"
