Trunk or Treat!

On Friday night Adriana's school had their annual Trunk or Treat. This is our first year we were able to go since we were out of town for it last year. We really didn't know what to expect so we had several friends save us a spot by them. I totally forgot to take very many pictures so this is one of the few events that I only took about 10 photots, guess my socializing got the best of me :)
We arrived at the parking lot about 5:30 and the kids all got to run around and play with their friends. A little later on we were served pizza which was really, really good! Then they had a band playing dance music for the kids to dance to and finally came the trick or treating fun!
Here is a few of the pictures I got.....
Adriana with her friends Janet and Charlize (crazy that they are all the same age and Adriana is a head taller than they are).

Hanging out in the back of the Kelch's car.

Adriana and Charlize being silly.

Andrew and Janet. These two probably went to every car trick or treating twice. They out trick or treated everyone!

Joey helping pass out the candy.

The costume parade led by the grinch himself!

This is probably only about a third of the people there that night. There was so many friends, it was such a great time!

Joey out of his costume and chowing down on all his candy!

We had a great time and will definitely be doing this every year!

Trick or Treating on Main Street!

On Friday afternoon I took the kids down to St. Charles Mainstreet for a little trick or treating early. This has become an annual tradition for us now and have gone down since before Joey was born. Its starting to get really crowded down there now so this might be a tradition to be quickly ending as I don't like crowds very well. But the kids still had a lot of fun this year!
Here they are dressed up.....
Joey as Scooby Doo...

Andrew as a Blues Hockey player.....

And Adriana as Pippi Longstocking.....

Here they are trick or treating along Mainstreet!

It was the perfect day weather wise for it, but just very, very crowded.

The last pumpkin patch!

On Thursday we went to our last pumpkin patch of the season, Rombacks, with my nephew Jacob. It was actually very cold this day compared to what we had been having so I guess its a good thing we saved this one for last because there really wasn't much for the kids to do.
Jacob decided to get a wagon early and to push Joey all around the pumpkin patch.

Stopping for a picture.

I know I didn't seem to get as many pictures of the kids at this pumpkin patch, probably because I was too busy trying to stay warm.
Before we left I promised the kids they could go hunting in the pumpkin patch for their "perfect" pumpkin.

This crazy looking thing is the pumpkin Andrew picked out, I'm not really sure that is even a pumpkin! That is Andrew for you!!!

The kids posing with all their pumpkins!

Even though it was really cold, the kids still had a blast. I did manage to bribe them to leave early by promising to take them to Pizza Street for lunch (had coupons of course!). So sad to be finished with all the pumpkin patches already :(

Pumpkin carving!

On Wednesday night we decided it would be a good night to carve pumpkins since the rest of our nights are busy this week. The kids each got to draw a face on their pumpkin then I carved it out so at the end when you see their crazy looking faces just know that they made them :)
Here is Adriana drawing her face.

Andrew drawing his face.

Joey drawing his face.

Cleaning out all "the guts" from the pumpkins.

Sorting through "the guts" to pick out all the seeds.

And here is the scary carved out pumpkins.....ooooohhhhhh very scary!

We had a great time carving them out and daddy got home in time from work to help us finish them up. Then we made some yummy pumpin seeds. Some were cinnamon and some were salty but all were VERY good! Another favorite fall treat!

Boo at the Zoo!

On Tuesday night we let Adriana have a sleepover with her BFF Janet again. This time we decided it would be fun to take the kids to the Boo at the Zoo that night. So we picked up Janet early and got all the kids dressed in their costumes ready for a night of fun!
This time Adriana decided to wear her poodle skirt outfit from her sockup back in Feb., Andrew decided to be a hockey player which consisted of wearing all the hockey gear he got passed down from my nephew along with a Blues Jersey I had bought at OUAC for $5, and Joey was once again Scooby Doo. Janet dressed up as a witch and her dress was really cool because in the dark it would lite up.
Here are all the kids before heading out.

The girls trying to be scary for the picture.

This was actually our first time to Boo at the Zoo if you can believe it. They had crafts set up at Lakeside Cafe for the kids to do for no extra cost so here is the kids busy making their crafts.

The Children's Zoo was opened up for free for everyone to come visit. We ended up spending most of our time in this part.
Andrew petting a bearded dragon, although he said it wasn't a real dragon :)

The kids all posing...

Then we headed over to the little playground area and I know they spent a good 45 minutes here.

Then we were off again!

We decided to go watch one of the shows that had just started. Here is Chris and Joey checking it out.

Next the kids decided it was time for a snack so we went and decorated a cookie with icing and sprinkles.

This picture cracks me up because the three older kids are all walking next to each other then you see Joey off to the side playing with his tail between his legs.......hehehe!

Now its time to head out and leave to go home.

Pausing for a few last pictures.....

Bye Zoo!!!!

We had a great time and I think I found another tradition to do in October.....Oh Chris is going to be so excited!!!!!!

Thies Pumpkinland!

Two of my favorite things to do in the world is spending time with my kids and taking pictures of them at their happiest moments. Well this month is definitely giving me plenty of opportunities for both! Tuesday we ventured out to Thies Pumpkinland since Adriana is off for fall break and Andrew also had the day off from preschool. Well as always I take way too many pictures of the kids wherever we go (maybe thats why I don't ever go with anyone else because they would be so annoyed at me and my camera!) Anyway here are a few pictures of the kiddos at the pumpkin patch.

So ends another incredible day with incredible weather! I'm really loving this October if I haven't already mentioned it in a couple of posts!
