Marley and Me

My mother in law read this book called "Marley and Me" that she loved and suggested that I read it. I finally bought the book and started reading it. The book is about a yellow labrador retriever and the family that raised him. I started reading and it and was laughing so hard. I swear they were writing the book about our dog, Sunny. For those of you that haven't met Sunny yet, she is an 85 lb bundle of energy. She is our crazy "horse" as we like to call her. I'm only half way through the book, but it was so nice reading that we are not the only ones who have a juvenile delinquent for a dog. For anyone who has a large puppy and a sense of humor, I highly suggest this book. I haven't read the whole thing yet, I hear the ending is very sad. But what I've read so far, which is over half, it is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. Partly because the book is so funny, and partly because I can't help but picturing Sunny everytime I read it. I even have Chris reading it and he is hooked as well. We spend our spare time fighting over who gets to read it next. Then we laugh out loud together as we compare it to our Sunny. It really makes me appreciate her a little more.

Joey

I felt bad that Joey seems to be missing from a lot of my post, mainly because he is so little and I'm carring him when we do things. So for this I decided to make Joey his own little post. Here is all the big and cute things Joey does.
Joey has been feeding himself finger foods for awhile now, but he has also began feeding himself with a spoon. Yes he is a very messy eater and creates so many more messes for mommy to clean up, but look how much fun it is! And boy does this little guy love to eat!
And here is a couple of sweet little pictures I really had no where else to put. Here he is being the sweetest little sleeper! Its pictures like this that make me sad that this will be our last baby :(

Playing in the rain

What better way to spend a warm rainy afternoon than to go out and play in it. The kids were getting so tired of being stuck inside so mommy finally decided to let them go out and play. And play they did, they had so much fun jumping in the puddles and playing in the water.
Here is a picture of Andrew pretending to be a fireman. Not that we really need the water on when we are already getting soaked from the rain, but he needed to put the fire out!
Here Andrew is trying to see if he can catch some of the rain on his tongue. Not quite sure how that worked out for him.

I could only find one of our umbrellas so they had to share it. I don't know, but I think Andrew is getting the bad end of the deal.
Look at all the fun puddles to jump in, and best of all mommy's not even yelling at us!

Camping at Carlyle

This weekend we went back to Carlyle Lake to go camping (this is one of favorite camping spots). We took my niece and nephew also with us. The kids all had a blast. We got down there Friday evening and the kids spent a lot of time running around and playing. On Sat. morning the kids all went down and saw a snake show put on by a man from Conservation. Adriana made him well aware that she didn't like snakes. He bet her he would have her touching a snake by the end of the show, but he was wrong. My little girly girl still wanted nothing to do with it. Jacob was holding it by the end and we even got Chris to touch one. We were going to do a nature hike they had scheduled, but it was really humid there so we spent the best part of the afternoon in the pool. We ended the night with making smores, a camping favorite. Then of course had to head home on Sunday which is my kids least favorite and they love to express that. Here is some pictures from the weekend. The first two are of the kids playing baseball by the camper. We parked next to the playground which also had a huge open area where the kids could run around and play. Here is a picture of Adriana and Jacob patiently waiting for the snake show to begin.
Here is the guy from the conservation department showing one of the snakes he has.
Here he is bringing the snake over to Adriana. As you can see he is loosing the bet, she is definitely not going to touch it. You can see the crowd of people watching her to see if she will touch it.
Jacob was the brave one and touched both snakes he had.

Chris, who is terrified of snakes, even sucked it up and touched the snake. Andrew wasn't too sure about it and preferred just to watch daddy do it. Jacob got even braver and decided he would actually hold the snake. This is a black rat snake (I think). Its the snake that will typically live in an old barn or garage. It lives off of eating mice.
Even Joey was brave enough to touch the snake. I take that back, the snake was brave enough to let Joey touch it :) I think if Joey would have had his way he would have been trying to eat it!
Here is all the kids piled on a chair playing a game that Kaitlyn had. Isn't so sweet how they all get along so well!!!!

Here is all the kids piled onto the bunk beds. No, this wasn't exactly how the all slept!
And here is Joey enjoying some of the toys outside. He did get to have a little fun over the weekend.

Our soccer team

I would like to introduce the newest all American soccer team. They are a ruff and tough bunch who play to win. They feel no pain and give a good beating to the opposing teams! I would like to introduce the players of this team.
On offense we have Adriana the princess who always plays wearing her dresses. Don't let the fancy dresses fool you, she is still one of the toughest kickers out there. On defense we have Andrew almighty! He doesn't let any balls get passed him. He is one tough cookie!
And last and by sure the meanest is our goalie, Joey the terminator. Don't let his size fool you, he plays for blood!

Currently the team is practicing hard for the next olympic games.

Festival of the Little Hills

This past weekend we went down to Festival of the Little Hills with my parents. We had a great time. I can't believe how perfect the weather was for August. Usually I'm sweating my butt off, but this year it was so nice out. We went on Friday night since I had it off and I like going in the evening better than they day time. We got down there around 6:00 and began our walk through all the crafts. About halfway down the riverfront Andrew decides he wants to go see the trains so Chris takes him up to see them. My mom, dad, and I continue down with Adriana and Joey. I did find some cute things. I picked up a shelf with Adriana's name on it for her room:I picked up a sign for Adriana's room that read "I love you to the moon and back" since its a little saying I say to her. For Andrew I picked up a sign that read "God......Please tell Mom that cowboys don't take baths". I wanted to hang it in the kids bathroom, but Andrew insisted that I put it in his room.My mom picked up this cute Halloween outfit for Adriana. We got a similar outfit for her last year along with a matching baby doll outfit. Although she outgrew the outfit, I still have the baby doll outfit. So now she has a new outfit that matches her baby's:)My mom also picked up this Halloween dress for Adriana. It wasn't from the festival, but I thought it was really cute so I put a picture of it on here with the other outfit. After all of our walking we were doing we took a break by the river. Here is a picture of me and Joey (yes, I carried him in this heavy carrier almost all night)Here is Maw Maw and Adriana sitting down taking a rest. And here is a picture of Adriana playing in the sand by the river.
Unfortunately, we lost Chris and Andrew in the crowds after they went to see the trains so I spent the last hour walking up and down Mainstreet and the Riverfront looking for them. We finally found them just in time for the fair to end for the night. But we all had a lot of fun and can't wait for it next year!

New piano

Chris and I have been looking for a piano to get for the kids. All the pianos we have looked at have all been so expensive so this has become something that we have put on hold since there is so many other things we need more. Well last night I was just looking around on craigslist and decided to just look at pianos again (knowing that we really don't have any extra money for one right now). Well there was someone out there nice enough that was giving their piano away! So I quickly e-mailed them hoping they still had it. I was e-mailed the good news today that they still had it and we could pick it up on Thursday! We were so excited. It just needs a tune up after we pick it up but other than that it should be great! Adriana was so excited when I showed her a picture of it. Here is what it looks like:
I will post a picture of it as soon as we get it and get it set up in our house! I LOVE craigslist!

Joey has another tooth!

Woohoo! Joey's third tooth finally came in over night. This one has been a bear and has created a very crabby little boy. He was up for 3 hours crying last night, which is probably when it came in. Hopefully this will ease up some of his crabbiness for a little while until the next one wants to come through. He has been a very happy little boy this morning so I'm sure the pain has finally eased up for him!

Visiting Great Grandma and Grandpa

We took a trip to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Weber out at the farm. The kids always have so much fun going to visit them, and I think grandma and grandpa secretly enjoy seeing the crazy kids too. Here is a picture of the kids with grandma and grandpa.

Here is a picture of Joey telling great grandma all the secrets.
This is grandma and grandpa's dog Buddy. He loves it too when the kids come to visit.
Here is a picture of Andrew pointing to the tractor. If you know anything about Andrew then you know how much he loves big trucks and tractors. Actually I would call it more of an obsession.
Here is daddy and Andrew. What? Someone let Andrew in the drivers seat!!!!
Look at the excitement on that face! Boy did this just make his day!

Here Andrew is inside of the tire of one of the bigger tractor's. Its bigger than he is!

What a great day! We can't wait to come back and visit Great Grandma and Grandpa! We love you!

Fishing with Daddy

Behind our house we have a neighborhood fully stocked pond used for catch and release fishing. Well Andrew LOVES doing everything that Daddy does so when he heard Daddy loves fishing well ofcourse he wanted to try it out. So Chris got out the fishing poles and took the kids down to go fishing in the pond. Well this being an impromptu event, we didn't have any bait to use so we used some chicken and cheese. Well after about 10-15 minutes of no bites the kids began getting antsy and Chris was wondering if the bait would even work. So we were getting ready to pack up and go back to the house when Andrew got a bite. Yes, he finally caught a fish. Of course he didn't want anything to do with it and stood probably 15 feet away. I was trying to get a picture of it and wouldn't you believe thats when my camera battery decided to go dead :( So we will just have to tell our fish story instead. Next time I'll make sure my camera battery is charged up and get the picture to prove it :) Here is a few pictures of Daddy with the kids.
