swimming

I managed to make my way down to the neighborhood pool for our first summer swim. We had to stay in the smaller pool because I wasn't brave enough to attempt the big pool by myself with all three kiddos. We did really good except for Andrew almost drowning (he is fine now just a little mishap with his swimming tube). The kids all loved it even Joey enjoyed splashing in the cold water. I told the kids they had to wait for Daddy to come with us before we could go in the big pool, so from there everytime a older man walked into the pool Andrew had to ask if that was Daddy. I had to keep reminding him that Daddy was at work and he would come with us a day that he was off. The next day Chris came home from work for lunch and Andrew was all excited thinking we were going to the "big pool". Soon enough we will be there!

Storms

So what happens to your bed when it storms really bad outside? Well we end up with three kids in it and no where for us to sleep. Its starts off with the baby since he takes up the least amount of space then comes the second youngest because he's "scared". Then you might as well put the oldest in there because she doesn't want to sleep in her room by herself. So mommy and daddy get whats left........the floor:)

Buzz lightyear to the rescue

Well after enduring years of being dressed up like a princess I finally managed to buy Andrew a dress up costume of his own. Its buzz lightyear and boy was he excited. He wore that costume all day and everyday since then that he has found it. Its not as cool as spiderman or batman, but I think he is still satisfied that its not a princess :)

Sunny

My little sleepy puppy is no longer little or sleepy. She has become a big crazy dog that sometimes leads to more work than my kids do. So I have to try to keep her doggy chewing cravings down to a minimum with a lot of chew toys for her, although she still sneaks a toy or shoe in every once in awhile. Although she is the size of a small horse, she thinks she's a butterfly and happily jumps all over the place trying to keep up with the kids. But she is really good with the kids and always has to be where they are keeping her eye on them. I will just be soooooo happy once we get out of the "puppy" phase. I put a picture of the cute sleepy puppy and one of the galloping butterfly horse.

Outside fun day at Adriana's school

Every year at the end of the school year Adriana's school has a fun day known as outside day. They rent a bounce house and have tons of fun activities for the kids to do. A special way for the kids to end the school year. Here are a few of the things that Adriana got to do:

Here she is playing in shaving cream (this is especially fun because mom doesn't have to clean it up)

Here she is playing in the jump house with some friends.

Not an expert hulla hooper yet, but we sure like to try. (I think she can actually do this better than I can now)

Of course if you're outside making messes why not add in a little paint (again something momma doesn't have to clean up)

And of course the potato sack races, although with a bunch of 4 year olds I'm not sure if its a race or just whoever can stand up in there the longest!

Birthday fun!

I think after you turn 21 your birthdays become a little less exciting. So this year for my 32nd birthday I spent it like so many others and went out to eat with the family to "the birthday hat place" as Adriana likes to call it (perhaps we go here a little too often on birthdays.....hehehe). Ah yes we went to Chevy's where you get a very loud and embarrassing display of clapping and singing. Here is a couple of pictures of the kids wearing the hat.

Adriana's ice skaing show

Adriana performed in her first ice skating show over the past weekend. She skated with her friends to the song "Thunderbird" from the movie Cars. She did awesome and didn't fall once. I know she was really nervous! Here is a few pictures of her performing and a picture of her and her cousins eating ice cream afterwards, everyone deserves ice cream after a tremendous performance :)

Joey's first tooth!

Well to our surprise Joey got his first tooth in on Thursday. Chris actually noticed it before I did, I guess that is how it goes when your the third child ;) His bottom right tooth came in and his bottom left is close behind, it should be in within the next few days. That would explain a lot of his fussiness he has been giving his daddy at night while I'm working. He is growing up way to fast! Maybe I didn't notice the tooth because I was secretly wishing he would just stay a little baby forever!

Joey is rolling over!

Joey has started rolling over from front to back now. He started doing it this weekend while camping. He had already been rolling from back to front when he is sleeping but now he can do both. He probably could have done it a lot sooner if I would let him down a little ;) I'm not ready for another mobile baby so is it wrong if I just keep holding him..........just kidding :) Here is a few pictures of him rolling.

Camping at Pere Marquette

This weekend we went camping at Pere Marquette State Park in Illinois. It started off saying it was going to be cold and windy, but it actually turned out to be a perfect weekend. We did get a little rain on Friday morning but that was it. The kids got to play a lot more outside with this trip than they did the camping trip before. Here is a few pictures of what we did all weekend.

Here is Adriana and Andrew skating. Adriana roller blades and Andrew just uses Adriana's old roller skates. They are both getting really good at it.

Here is Adriana and Andrew roasting marshmellos to make somores. Don't worry they were very closely supervised :)

They both created their "masterpieces" on the roads.

We went on frequent walks with Maw Maw's dog Daisy. She was very worn out by the end of the trip.

We spent our evenings sitting around the campfire. We haven't been able to tell ghost stories since I would like to get a little sleep at night without two very scared kiddos :)

And Adriana would help cook breakfast in the mornings. Don't worry her supervisor is standing next to her :o

Yes Joey was on the trip with us. He just didn't get to do as much but he did get a lot of fresh air and had lots of fun watching his older siblings. Don't worry Joey, you'll be joining in on the fun faster than momma would like!!!!
