Vacation Bible School

Last week Adriana attended Vacation Bible School at St. Elizabeth Ann Setan where Kaitlyn and Jacob attend school. Kaitlyn was a helper for Adriana's class which Adriana of course loved. Jacob also attended. Adriana had so much fun and was sad when it ended. Here is a couple of pictures of the last day. They all released balloons into the sky which I had just missed. Then they all sang and danced outside. A great end to a fun week!

My boys!

Last night I was putting Joey to sleep and Andrew crawled up on the bed and layed down next to Joey. This is how they both fell asleep. I thought it was so sweet!!!!

Strawberry picking

Today I took the kids strawberry picking. This is the first time we had actually been strawberry picking. We didn't get to go last year because the late freeze caused a bad crop. The kids seemed to really enjoy it, especially Adriana. She picked so many strawberries. Andrew was more busy eating them or trying to feed them to Joey. We did get a big box of strawberries to bring home and we are going to make them tonight so we can bring strawberries and ice cream to Paw Paw to help him recover from his surgery. Here is a few pictures of them picking.

Our camping trip at Hannibal

This past weekend we took a camping trip to Hannibal, MO. We went and camped next to my parents. We had a great time. We got down there late Thursday night so we basically set up camp then went to bed. We got up early Friday morning, had breakfast, then headed down towards the town of Hannibal. We took a train ride tour through Hannibal, Andrew loved riding on the train. It was neat we got to see all the houses of Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer, Becky Thatcher, Molly Brown, and all the other characters of the books and learn a lot about the history of the characters real life. Then we ate lunch and walked around down town. We then went back to the campground to go swimming since it was getting really warm out. The next morning we got up early again and went to Sawyers Landing. There the kids got to bounce in a bounce house, play bumper boats, feed fish, have water balloons wars, ride a small train, and play miniature golf. Needless to say it took up most of the day. We then went back to the campground and went swimming again. Adriana stayed in the pool for 4 hours!!! We took shifts watching her. Another little girl Adriana made friends with taught her how to swim under water (you can see the pictures in an earlier post). We had a great weekend. I posted a few of the pictures of some of the activities we did.

Adriana's swimming underwater!

My little girl is already starting to swim under water. She learned this weekend while we were camping. It seems like as much as I want to teach her something I never can, but when a 12 year old little girl makes friends with Adriana she can teach her in one day. It really is amazing what kids can learn off of other kids. Here is a few pictures I got to take of her swimming. Now of course she wants to go to the pool everyday to practice her new skill :)

Happy Jack!

Here is a couple of cute pictures of our little happy jack "Joey". I don't think there is very often that there is not a huge smile on his face. Such a happy baby, I had to share a few of his smiles!

swimming

I managed to make my way down to the neighborhood pool for our first summer swim. We had to stay in the smaller pool because I wasn't brave enough to attempt the big pool by myself with all three kiddos. We did really good except for Andrew almost drowning (he is fine now just a little mishap with his swimming tube). The kids all loved it even Joey enjoyed splashing in the cold water. I told the kids they had to wait for Daddy to come with us before we could go in the big pool, so from there everytime a older man walked into the pool Andrew had to ask if that was Daddy. I had to keep reminding him that Daddy was at work and he would come with us a day that he was off. The next day Chris came home from work for lunch and Andrew was all excited thinking we were going to the "big pool". Soon enough we will be there!

Storms

So what happens to your bed when it storms really bad outside? Well we end up with three kids in it and no where for us to sleep. Its starts off with the baby since he takes up the least amount of space then comes the second youngest because he's "scared". Then you might as well put the oldest in there because she doesn't want to sleep in her room by herself. So mommy and daddy get whats left........the floor:)

Buzz lightyear to the rescue

Well after enduring years of being dressed up like a princess I finally managed to buy Andrew a dress up costume of his own. Its buzz lightyear and boy was he excited. He wore that costume all day and everyday since then that he has found it. Its not as cool as spiderman or batman, but I think he is still satisfied that its not a princess :)

Sunny

My little sleepy puppy is no longer little or sleepy. She has become a big crazy dog that sometimes leads to more work than my kids do. So I have to try to keep her doggy chewing cravings down to a minimum with a lot of chew toys for her, although she still sneaks a toy or shoe in every once in awhile. Although she is the size of a small horse, she thinks she's a butterfly and happily jumps all over the place trying to keep up with the kids. But she is really good with the kids and always has to be where they are keeping her eye on them. I will just be soooooo happy once we get out of the "puppy" phase. I put a picture of the cute sleepy puppy and one of the galloping butterfly horse.
