Day at the Zoo!

Adriana got a day off of school on Monday and it was supposed to be a beautiful day so we decided to go to the zoo for the day. We met up with my friend Whitney and her daughter Ava along with my friend Debbie and her kids Chase and Reece. The kids had an awesome time! We started our day off at the Zoomagination Station, which is always a favorite plus its FREE!
Here is Adriana playing in the sand. I took the picture as she was just about to turn her head.

Here is Chase and Andrew playing dress up with the zoo keeper outfits. They were too cute playing together!

Adriana playing in the garden and smelling the flowers.

Joey playing in the baby area.

Joey and Reece playing in the water table.

Joey playing in the sand.

We then headed to the kids zoo since it was right next door.
Here is Andrew posing with one of the frogs.

The three kids working together while playing at the treehouse.

Andrew petting a snake, mommy was not so brave though!

Here is the tree Kangaroo.

Joey and Reece playing together in the Jeep.

We left the children's zoo and started visiting the other animals.
Here is the Grizzly Bears.

A favorite spot is always at the penguin house!

Andrew, Chase, Adriana, and Ava all walking down the road together. They were so cute playing together all day!

Here is one of the bears eating lunch, which was cantalope.

Another favorite spot, the seals.

We had such a great day at the zoo together. And even though with our zoo membership we go several times a year, it never gets old and we can easily spend the entire day there.
So until next time........

Disney on Ice!

This past Saturday I got tickets to take my mom and the kids to Disney on Ice. My kids LOVE these shows and we see them every year!
So here is my kids with Maw Maw getting ready for the show to start.

Here is several pictures from the show.

We all had a great time and the kids are still talking about all of their favorite scenes!

A fun weekend!

Wow, I know I'm behind when I'm trying to type this which happened a couple of weeks ago. So Chris went out of town for opening trout seasoning so it was just me and the kids all weekend. So I tried to find lots of fun, cheap things for us to do. Chris left Thursday afternoon so Thursday night me and the kids went out to eat at Steak n Shake using some good coupons and a couple of gift cards we had. Friday I had to work a day shift so my mom and dad babysat the kids. Adriana only had a half day so my parents decided to take them to Chuck E Cheese for lunch/dinner (since they spent almost 4 hours there). I picked them up after work from there and we went then went to the dollar show to watch Princess and the Frog. Saturday morning came and after some coercing from my sister, we headed to the Parents as Teachers event called Read In. The kids had a lot of blast seeing Aunt Kimmie and all the fun things they had there. After that we made a much needed trip to Costco, which believe it or not is one of my kids favorite places to go. We also got a pizza from there for our lunch, which is a special treat for them. We then headed home and with the weather being so nice we spent the rest of the day outside. Sunday came and we all got up and went to Church. Yes, I survived Church with the three kids by myself. After Church we always get doughnuts (I think that's the only reason my kids get so excited to go to Church on Sunday mornings). We then headed home and played outside with Daddy who surprised us by coming home early. It was a great weekend and mommy actually spoiled them a little and let them watch a movie in her room and sleep in bed with her. What a special weekend we all had together! Unfortunately the only pictures I had taken were from the PAT Read In event so here you go:
Here is Adriana and Andrew helping Aunt Kimmie with the matching game.

Here is Joey playing in the construction area with all the trucks.

They had the firetruck there and also had the firemen reading some stories to the kids. Here is Adriana in the fire truck.

And here is Andrew in the firetruck.

Happy birthday Ava!

Last weekend we had two birthday parties we got to go to. Unfortunately one party was a swimming party so of course I didn't get any pictures from Chase's party. Our second party was Ava's fifth birthday party. Whitney did an awesome job with the party. In the basement they built a huge castle out of very large boxes which the kids all loved playing in.
Then she had little boxes the kids got to decorate for their treasure boxes and got to go on a treasure hut around the house. Here is Adriana and Andrew decorating their boxes. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the treasure hunt as I was too busy trying to keep up with three kids going in three different ways.

Of course since it was a princess party, all the girls got to dress up in their princess dresses. Well the boys wanted to dress up to so Andrew was bumble bee the transformer and Joey was spiderman.
Here is Joey in his costume.

Here is a picture of Ava's cake. It was very cute!

And the birthday girl while we were singing happy birthday to her.

This is Ava when she was opening her pictures. It cracks me up.......we were saying that she looked like the morning after already! hehe!!!!

We had such a great time and Whitney is such a great host and even allowed us to be one of the last to leave! Thanks again for such a great time Whit!!!!!!

Field trip to firehouse

A couple of weeks ago (yes thats how far behind I am) we took a tour to the firehouse with the girlscout troop. This was an extra special tour because it was at her Uncle Dan's firehouse and he was leading the tour, for awhile anyway until he got called out.
So here is Uncle Dan talking to the girls about fire safety and getting ready to put on a movie.

Here is a picture of all the girls in the bunkhouse.

After the firetruck had to leave on a call, they got a tour of the ambulance.

When the firetruck got back, poor Uncle Dan was taking care of Joey who was crying because of the loud noises the trucks made so another fireman had to help out with the tour.
Here is Adriana sitting in the firetruck.

Here is Andrew sitting inside the firetruck with a goofy look on the poor firemans face......hehe!

And last here is a not so good picture of the girls in front of the firetruck, if you can see them.

The girls all had a great time and we can't wait to do this again sometime!
