Joey had a great first Easter! He got lots of new toys, clothes, and baby food. He enjoyed watching all the excitement of his sister and brother and all his cousins. He just smiled and squealed as they all played.
Boy did the kids have a fun Easter. They started the morning off hunting for all the Easter eggs the silly bunny left all over the house. Then they found their Easter baskets the bunny left for them. They got new headphones for the car, Andrew got a teeball set, Adriana got new roller blades, Joey got a ball set, and they all got lots of toys to play with outside. Then we went to MawMaw and PawPaw's house. Their Adriana and Andrew got new bikes with bike helmets and of course lots of candy. Joey got some new toys and new clothes. Then our last stop was MeMaw and PePaw's house. Of course they got a lot more candy there plus some new toys and clothes. After eating candy all day, it was a definite chore to get them to calm down enough to fall asleep. What a great day they had!
Adriana has starting ice skating again and is doing very well at it this time. She started off skating without a bucket and has even started skating backwards (I think she can probably already skate better than I can). She will be in a skating show at the St. Peters Rec Plex the weekend of May 16th-18th. She is so excited about this. She will be having an extra day of skate practice each week so by the show she should be skating really well. I will definitely be posting pictures of the skate show when its here.
This was Adriana's first date to a dance and the only one mommy and daddy approve of :) Chris took her to the father daughter dance at St. Peters City Hall. He even gave her a little wrist corsage. They had a great time together and Adriana even got Chris to dance with her!
These are pictures from our trip to the Butterfly house. The kids had a great time looking at all the different butterflies and learning all about them. Mom got to get a few great pictures for Easter. This was Andrew's first time to the butterfly house and although he was scared at first he warmed up quickly to the butterflies. Over all it was a great trip other than mom sweating trying to get in the "perfect" pictures.
Well my little boy has already become a sports fanatic. I was finishing watching the news when he came out as the had the sports part on. He got so excited when he saw baseball on. Then came the basketball. Oh was he excited! Then the clip came to an end and on came the tears. "Basketball, basketball" he cried. So I had to turn on ESPN and find some basketball for him to watch then he was fine again. It looks like we might have a future little sports player on our hands :)
Well this winter has brought us a lot of snow. This was another one of the snow days where the kids got to enjoy a fun day of playing. We got to make two big snow people and still had plenty of snow to run around and play in. Although it is a lot of fun playing in the snow, I sure hope spring is on the way!!!!
Adriana has been horseback riding for a year now and she absolutely loves it. She's been training with Debbie in O'Fallon on a 29 year old horse "Moon". He does very well with her and is patient as she is learning how to control a horse. She has started learning how to do flags where she gets a flag from a bucket on one side of the arena and brings it over to the other side. She has done very well although it makes me very nervous and she bends over to grab the flags out of the buckets. This spring she will be adding more tricks and possibly start jumping the horses soon. She has become very knowledgeable with all the parts of the saddle and bridle which I even have a hard time remembering. I've added a few pictures of her riding and will add more this spring as she starts riding again.
The kids have adapted really well to their new little brother. Adriana has taken on the roll of being a little mommy to Joey and Andrew is ready to show him how to play like a big boy :) It was a little hard adjusting the first few weeks but now its getting hard to remember the days before baby Joey was here. He seems to really enjoy his older siblings as well and loves to watch them play. He smiles at them and gets excited kicking his legs and flailing his arms.
My little baby is growing so fast. He has started to roll over from front to back and holding his head up very well. He is such a happy baby and smiles all the time. He keeps his momma busy and eats all the time :)
This is a little about our everyday lives. Yes, I am the mother of three VERY active little kids. My daughter can be a drama queen and my boys are very Rambunctious little boys. My house is usually a mess but I always welcome visitors. We love to have fun together and yes, my kids are wild and out of control, but hey so are the parents sometimes! So feel free to climb on board our roller coaster life and be prepared to hold on tight as it is going to be a bumpy ride!
