Easter egg hunt at our house!

So after the kids finished looking at all their cool things Easter Bunny brought, it was time to start finding some eggs! Easter Bunny left almost 100 eggs filled with marshmellow's, jelly beans, stickers, quarters, dollars, and some other funny little toys. Egss were EVERYWHERE! And the kids were so excited.
So here is the start of the egg hunt........they have some determined faces on!

Joey found one hiding in one of his trucks.

Adriana finding some too!

Joey found one hiding in a tree.

Andrew having some fun!

This was fun mom! Let's do it again!

The kids all lined up with their baskets full of eggs!

Checking out all the loot!

I'm so glad the weather cooperated with us this year for a change and we were actually able to do the egg hunt outside. We sure had a great Easter Bunny to hide all those eggs!

Easter Bunny came!

The Easter bunny made it to our house! Although the Easter bunny doesn't bring our kids candy, don't feel too bad for them. Adriana and Andrew both got new skates for summer, Joey got a bike helmet, and they scored all their pool toys in time for the pool to open next month. The Easter bunny also brought all the summer time essetials such as bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and bandaids for all the booboos soon to come. He also gave the kids a new tooth brush to help fight off the cavities from all the candy their grandparents love to give them. Stay tuned for the egg hunt to come!

Happy Anniversary!

Almost 20 years ago I met my prince charming at a ball(aka freshmen homecoming dance). Although we don't live in a cold, drafty castle......my prince did buy me a warm, cozy house full of love and laughter! And we weren't blessed with diamonds and jewels but I was given three of the most beautiful, healthy children I could have ever asked for.
So on this day I want to tell my most wonderful husband in the world how much I love him with all my heart and soul. I truly believe after all these years that we are really soul mates and were meant to spend the rest of our lives together!
So here is a few pictures of us through the years. I don't have a photo scanner so these are just pictures of pictures and aren't the best but oh well.
I think this was my sophmore homecoming dance. I think my dad had something good going on there and might have to remember this for my kids.....hehehe!

This was Chris' 16th birthday.

Some professional pictures we had taken sometime during high school.

I have no idea when we had these taken.

Alright, this one turned our really bad but this was our engagement pictures.

I think this was taken at one of Chris' work functions but not positive.

And of course our wedding day!

We are cuffed together for life!

And now our beautiful family is complete!

I love my wonderful husband with all my heart and can't wait for many for anniversaries to come. I actually look forward to the day we will be sitting out on the porch on our swings just enjoying the day together!

Purina Farms and Lone Elk Park!

Adriana started her spring break on Thursday and we thought what better way to start it off than by going to Purina Farms and visiting their Easter Village. We started off early thinking it might get busy but it actually turned out to be not very crowded and a beautiful day!
Here is the kids starting out their adventure......not too excited yet!

Pointing out all the fish in the water.

Getting a little more excited!

Joey playing in the corn with tractors. This was the only time he would let me put him down.....he isn't too big of a fan of all the animals.

Adriana on the barn swing.

Andrew on the barn swing.

Petting the baby chicks.

Petting the baby sheep.

Now we are getting really excited!

Petting a cat.......finally an animal Joey will see.

We ended our visit with a tractor ride around the property.
Adriana on the tractor ride.

Andrew peaking out at the tractor.

And Joey enjoying his ride. Yes, it is impossible to keep shoes on that boy!

On our way home we decided that since it was such a beautiful day we would stop off at the Lone Elk Park since it was on our way home.
The kids were super excited to see all the animals and kept looking out the windows to make sure they didn't miss any!
First we came across a group of elk that were keeping cool by standing in the lake.

Next we entered into the buffalo area.....these guys were not hard to miss. They were right up next to the road and if we leaned out far enough we probably could have pet one.

Here is a picture of one with my car mirror in it so you can see how close he was.

And we even spotted a little deer. He was a little further in the woods and was harder to find.

We had a great time even though we never spotted the two animals Adriana and Andrew wanted to find which was a fox and snake but we did get to see plenty of others. We will definitely have to make another trip out there!

Gabe and Mike's birthday party!

This past Sunday afternoon we went to my nephew's, Gabe and Mike's, birthday party at a gymnastics place by their house. It was a lot of fun and of course now my kids want to do their birthday party there.
Here is most of the group of kids before we started.

Adriana swinging into the pit.

Andrew swinging into the pit.

My niece Angeline dancing and skipping around.

Mike playing in the pit.

Joey playing in the pit.

Gabe getting ready to jump in.

Adriana being silly.

Mike playing on the parachute.

All the kids playing on the parachute.

They gave all the kids at the party a gymnastics medal and also gave the birthday boys's a trophy. I thought this was so fun and it was a real medal, not just a cheap plastic one.
Here is Mike and Gabe with their medals and trophy.

Andrew getting his medal.

Adriana and her medal.

My three kids waiting for the birthday cake.

Singing happy birthday to Mike and Gabe.

Mike and Angeline blowing out the candles, I think Gabe just enjoyed sitting back and watching........what a great, big brother!

And finally cupcake eating time.

We really did have a great time and you never know.........you may see this place again for one of the kids birthday parties!
