Our trip to the City!

With the weather being so hot this summer, we thought it would be a fun day to go down to the City to visit MawMaw. MawMaw works in a building right next to the City Garden so what a perfect day to spend.
First we headed to pick up PawPaw then off to the Metrolink we go. Here we are waiting for the Metrolink to get there.

Finally on our way riding on the "train" as the kids call it.

Once we got down there we headed out to eat lunch at Charlie Gittos since I have never been there. Let me tell you that this was the best pasta I have ever had! Yummy!

We headed back to my mom's work building so the kids could meet everyone in her office and change into their swimsuits.
Now its time for some water fun! And these kids had THE BEST time playing in the water. They wanted to go swimming in a few of the fountains, but my mom said she has seen too many homeless people taking baths in the water and it kinda grossed me out......I might have even thrown up a bit in my mouth thinking of my kids playing in the water and possibly drinking it with the nastiness of it plus there is no clorine to clean it at all......yuck! So we stuck with the water shooting out of the ground.

Now it was time for a break and yummy ice cream! They had this little truck out there selling ice cream.....how cute is that!

Joey definitely approved of it!

Before we headed out, we went to play over with the sculptures for a bit.

It was a very fun day. My mom drove us back to the Metrolink station but I drove home alone since my boys both crashed out before we made it to my car. I can't wait to do this again next year!

Soccer camp!

Two weeks ago, Adriana went to a soccer camp with several kids from her school plus kids from other areas. It was only a week long camp that was at a very reasonable price so of course it worked out for summer camp. Although the week was crazy hot, Adriana did great and loved it everyday. I've been waiting to post the one picture I had from the week because there was supposed to be someone that was taking pictures all week and woulld have a place for us to download them, but I haven't received the information yet so I'm sure another post about this week will be added so.
Here is a picture of all the camp kids plus the counselors. Wow what a big group!

It was a great week and I actually got Adriana to take a nap one day, which she hasn't done in years! Definitely a must for next year and if anyone is looking for a cheap soccer camp for kids aged 5-12, this was perfect!

Fun with friends!

I forgot all about these pictures from my camera. A couple of weeks ago we went to Jump 4 Fun with my friend Debbie and her kids, Chase and Reece. Of course I didn't get any pictures from there but afterwards we went to Pizza Street for lunch. After eating we let the kids play for a little while. Here is a couple of cute pictures of the kids playing.
Chase and Andrew riding on the roller coaster.

And Adriana and Chase riding on the motorcycle.

I promise Joey and Reece were there, I just didn't manage to get any pictures of them.

Just need a break!

Well we have all recovered from being sick, but onto more problems. My check engine light came on last week and we brought it to the first repair shop. After fixing a part they said it should be fixed. They had me drive it for a bit and bring it back. Well the engine light came back on. So after checking it again they weren't sure what was going on so they told me I should bring it into the dealership. So made an appointment for there and they found the next part that was broke. So after spending about 10 hours between the two dealerships and costing us $1365.00 we finally have our car back and fixed.......woohoo!
Next we had an accident a couple of days later where Andrew dropped one of my 10 lb had weights on Adriana's foot. She screamed the loudest I have ever heard her scream for a good 15-20 min. Her foot immediately turned black and blue and she couldn't walk on it. Because we just changed insurance companies 4 days prior to this, of course I didn't have an insurance card yet. So I called my insurance company to verify our insurance and to get the information I am going to need for the urgent care. So we head out to the urgent care and luckily her foot wasn't broke but it was very badly bruised. They recommended we get her some crutches to help her walk easier. So the next day I tried to find some kids crutches....you know how hard it is to find crutches for a child? So I finally found some and it cost me $50 on top of my $75 charge to urgent care. So now we have put a huge dent into our savings but I have a healthy happy daughter and a vehicle that is running great again, but can I please be done for a bit?!
As far as blogging, I will be getting back to that soon, I have lots of things to post about!

This pretty much sums up our week with Roseola!

Our welcome back!

We came back from our vacation on Sunday night and wouldn't you know it, by Tuesday night Adriana was running a 103 temp. She only had it for the one night but on Thursday afternoon she came down with a rash from head to toe! You guessed it....Roseola. Well Thursday night Joey and I came down with the high temp, but Roseola isn't common for adults. Friday was terrible, not only was I running a temp but feeling miserable and had to drag myself into work because we were already short handed and I had no one to work for me. My fever had broke that morning but it was still miserable working in the heat when your achy and plus wearing the vest that allows no air in plus a duty belt makes for a miserable evening that ended up being really busy. Then Sat. afternoon Andrew came down with the fever! Sunday morning Joey started in with the rash so I'm guessing Andrew will be coming down with it soon enough. What a great way to welcome us all home but I'm very thankful it is all happening this week and not while we were on vacation so I do have to give a thanks to God for that!

The after hours show at SDC!

After Silver Dollar City closes each night, they put on a great show. This year's show was one of the funniest I've seen yet.
Here is a skit these guys put on about fishing. Chris was laughing so hard he was almost in tears!

These two were one of my favorites.......Ima Table and Clarence Table.....too funny!

Another funny skit made by the same people who did Ima and Clarence.

Here is the singers and dancers. All very, very talented people!

Great show! And even better because its free for us!

Silver Dollar City!

We actually went to Silver Dollar City three times, but I just made a compile of all the pictures into one post so that will explain all the different outfits the kids have on.
Joey playing on the tractor at the front of the park.

Andrew playing on the train, playing peek a boo.

Adriana peeking out to say Hi!

Andrew getting his sheriff's badge.

The boys! I was actually asked by someone if they were twins.....really?

Adriana with PawPaw!

Andrew at school.

Adriana at school.

Joey at school.

I guess school was too much for Andrew.........wake up!

Playing in the sand.

Joey riding on the train.

While riding on the train, you will never guess what happened! We were robbed! That never happens on that train ride.......alright well maybe it happened all three times we rode on it. Very strange! The two guys on the right robbed us....booo!

Andrew and Jacob giving up their money.

Time for some rides! Mommy, daddy, and Adriana riding on the log ride, yes we all got really wet!

Adriana and Jacob riding on the swings.

Andrew riding the frogger ride.

And of course we have to let Andrew do his annual basketball game, cause you know we can never have enough basketballs around this house!

As many times as we go to Silver Dollar City, it will never get old. I love it so much down there and wished we lived closer so I can go there more often. Everyone is so friendly and its one of the best amusement parks I have ever been too!!!!

My wife.....err....husband?!

While watching the saloon show at Silver Dollar City, Chris was called upon to come on stage. It was the funniest thing when he came out from the back onto stage....Adriana yelled out "My daddy's a girl" and started laughing so hard!
Chris was a great sport and was even dancing on stage! I wish I would have had my camcorder with me but at least I have some blackmail pictures.....hehe!

Noah the Musical!

One of the nights we were down in Brason we decided to go see the show Noah the Musical. After searching online I was able to score cheap tickets saving us all $100 total and they were great seats! The show was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend it to anyone, even if your not a religious family. They wouldn't allow anyone to take photos during the show so unfortunately I don't have any but I did take a few from the outside.
Here is the Sight and Sound building that the show was in. It was a beautiful building!

The kids in front of the building.

The kids by the fountain on the outside of the building.

The kids with the Noah's Arc statue.

I think they are done with mommy's picture taking.

A scene from inside the building.

All the kids enjoyed the show and Adriana got a little emotional during certain parts. A definite family must see! I can't say enough about it!
