Adriana's soccer game!

I seem to have a lot of pictures of Andrew's soccer games in my camera but I haven't taken any pictures of Adriana this year so I decided I would grab a few pictures today.
Here are a couple of action shots of her playing.....

Adriana and her friend Sophie.

The team warming up during half time

Here's what the boys do during her soccer game. They love playing in the dirt with their friend Nolan, this is also what they do during soccer practice.

Good game girls!

So far this year they are tied for 1st place! They only have 3 games left of the season!

Andrew ice skating!

Now that basketball has ended (I will have a post on that as soon as I can figure out how to download my pictures from a rarely used old camera) Andrew has decided not to do another session and instead start playing hockey. Well unfortunately at the Rec Plex you have to be 5 years old and know how to skate fairly well, neither of which Andrew can pass. So I told him we would take an ice skating lesson and practice on open skate days so he would be good at skating and after he turns 5 in Decemeber we would sign him up for the next hockey session. We are very fortunate that my nephew plays hockey and my sister graciously passes all his hockey stuff down to us.
So here is a few pictures of Andrew ice skating. Oh and his teacher is a friend of ours from playgroup, Mandy. She was also Adriana's teacher when Adriana took ice skating lessons.

Surprisingly he was one of the better skaters out there and did really good. He did take a skating lesson a few years ago but when he was still sitting on the ice trying to eat it we decided to wait awhile and let him try when he is a little more mature. It worked because he was really good this time!

Congratulations PawPaw!

After working for Southwestern Bell/AT&T for 40+ years, my dad finally retired! Well he actually retired back in June but he finally got around to having a retirement party. He had his party at Moose Lodge in St. Charles and actually had a very big turn out. I was the official photographer for his party, but I won't bore you with a bunch of pictures of the guys he worked with (especially since I don't know any of their names). But I did manage to get a lot of pictures of family. So here goes......

My forgotten girls!

I decided to do a post on my poor forgotten girls, my babies who hardly get any posts. Yes, I'm talking about my doggies! You know the poor mistreated kids.......

Yes, I know how mistreated they look with their beds warm right in front of the fire. What horrible parents we are!

Alright Sunny! No teasing your sister by sticking your tongue out at her!

Now thats better! Sister love!

So that you go dogs! That is your post for the year, hope your happy!!!!!! :)

Religion project!

Every year for school we have to do a family project together. This counts as 100% of the kids grades in Religion and I think its a fun project for families to do together. Last year we just did it on the Bible story of Jonah and the Whale. There is many different things you can do such as Bible stories, Saints, Prayers, and Community projects. Right before we got the paperwork on the family project I received an e-mail from our neighborhood clubhouse. This year we are going to do a neighborhood event called neighbors helping neighbors which helps raise food and other items to help out neighbors in our neighborhood who are having a hard time in this economy. We decided to take a big hand in helping out with this project. We will use this as our community service project. It makes me happier to show my kids how we can help out the neighbors in our neighborhood who need help. So stay tuned as the Weber family tackles this project and we shall see how it turns out!

My kids!

My home is filled with toys, fingerprints on everything and is never quiet. My hair is usually a mess, and I am always tired but there is always love and laughter here. In 20 years my kids won't remember the house or my hair but they will remember the time we spent together and the love they felt.... Your child only gets one childhood, make it a good one.

This was posted all over facebook this morning and I think it is so filled with the truth! I know not everyday do I get the laundry done or the house cleaned up. Not everyday is my sink empty of dishes or my bathroom clean. Some days I even miss getting a shower and don't realize it until the end of the day. But one thing is a guarantee for everyday......I sit down and play with my children! I hear their laughter everyday! I get big, sloppy, wet kisses everyday! I get sticky, messy hugs everyday! And I give out more hugs and kisses than I ever could have imagined everyday! And I wouldn't change any of it for anything! I'm so blessed to be home with my kids all day and although I wish I could be a stay at home mom, I know that by giving up my sleep a few nights a week I get the best gift in the world......watching my babies grow up and being with them while they do it. I gave up my dreams of owning a big house, having fancy clothes, being able to wear makeup everyday, going on fancy vacations, and even being able to get my haircut professionally but it is worth it all just for all the hugs, kisses, and laughter I get everyday!
Boy, today has turned into a sappy day for me! I guess I will get off my sappy soapbox and get back to making memories with my three most precious things God has ever given to me!!!!

Just a few things to say.......

I know I don't have any cute pictures of the kiddos to go with this post or even anything great to say, but just thought I would add in a couple of small things that have made me happy......
First, I'm very happy that we were able to buy three new windows last year as well as put more insulation into the attic. It is now November and I have yet to turn on our furnace other than a quick test Chris did to make sure it was working. The coldest our house has got was 66 degrees which after starting a fire first thing in the morning, quickly warmed up to 70 degrees. I know it will have to be turned on this week with lows in the 20s but hey we made it to Nov!
Second, just wanted to comment on how sweet my boys were yesterday. I made a trip out to Chesterfield to go to Trader Joe's then ran over to Faust Park to pick up the kids tickets to the candy cane hunt. While there I let the boys play on the park for awhile. It was kind of crowded with lots of kids their ages but the boys decided to only play with each other and they were so well behaved that a momma couldn't be prouder! Then on the car ride home, Andrew had to make sure that he was sitting by Joey and they talked and laughed all the way home! I love moments like that!
Lastly, has to do with the Halloween candy. Every year we let the kids put out all their Halloween candy the night of Halloween so the "Halloween fairy" can come and pick it up and leaves each of them a small gift. Usually I always give the candy to the boys I work with or to Chris' work but this year I found a website that lists all the different dentist offices that will buy back Halloween candy for $1 lb and send it over seas to the troops. I knew I wasn't going to get much money for the candy because it was only about 3-4lbs of it but I liked that it was going to some important people who could really use some Halloween cheer. Unfortunately I couldn't have my kids see that we were giving it to them because it would ruin the Halloween fairy but maybe in a few years when they figure out the truth this would be a good place for it to go. Anyway, I brought my bag of candy into the dentist's office, with Joey in tow (it was in a brown bag so he couldn't see the candy). The receptionist asked if I knew how much the candy weighed and I told her I didn't know so she took the bag back to the dentist to see what she thought. Then she came back and told me the dentist said she would give me $15 for it! Wow, that was way more than I thought we would get for it, maybe because we had a lot of the "good candy" in the bag :)
So thats my thoughts for the day!

All Saint's Mass!

The day after Halloween is known as All Saint's Day, a day to celebrate all the Saint's. Every year at Borromeo, the first graders dress up as a Saint for Mass and learn about all the different Saints. This year is just so happened to land on the day after Halloween because of the days off for fall break (usually the day after Halloween is always a day off for Catholic schools and apparently this is the first time as far as most remember that the kids had school the day after Halloween). It was hard for Adriana to find a Saint that she wanted to be. We tried to find a female saint over animals, but unfortunately the only saints over animals were males. So then we went to her name. No saints for Adriana but there were plenty of Saint Rose's. Then to decide which St. Rose. After reading about all of them Adriana finally decided to be St. Rose of Lima. St. Rose of Lima was actually named Isabelle but because of her beauty they called her Rose. Rose did not like that everyone loved her for her beauty and tried to make herself as ugly as she could. She devoted herself to Jesus and would never marry. There is a lot more to her but I'm not going to post it all on here.
So anyway, here is Adriana dressed up as St. Rose of Lima!

Here is Adriana walking down the aisle. We were stuck in the middle of the row so it wasn't the best shot of her.

Adriana and her friend Janet.

Adriana and her friend Charlize.

And here is a few shots of the whole first grade class dressed up! In the back is Adriana's teacher Mrs. Santel, Mrs. Burns (1st grade helper), Father John, the school principal Mrs. Hoffman, the other first grade teacher Mrs. Leonard, and Mrs. Hepperman (1st grade helper).

It was so cute to see all the little kids dressed up and how excited they all were to talk about their saint. If I haven't mentioned it enough, I really love this age with these kids. They are all so sweet and innocent and just so full of love for life! Way to go first graders!

Trick or Treating on Halloween!

So here is the last of our Halloween pictures finally! This is from the actual Halloween night and trick or treating around our neighborhood. I think at this point the kids are actually ready for Halloween to be done and to move on with other things, which I guess is a good thing.
So here is the last of the pictures......
Andrew dressed up as a hockey player once again, or the toothfairy from the movie as he liked to call himself..

Adriana and the next door neighbor, Brianna.

The kids heading up to a few houses for trick or treating,

They only made it about 45 minutes and were excited to get home and eat their latest goodies. Adriana was more excited about passing out candy to the trick or treaters and stood by the door patiently waiting for them to walk up then she would count out three pieces of candy each. She was so cute, and of course I forgot to get a picture of it.
After getting everyone out of costume, Andrew thought it would be funny to put on Adriana's Pippi wig......hehehe!

Then it was time to say goodbye to another Halloween and head up to bed, but before they do the kids make sure to put out their leftover candy for the Halloween fairy to pickup and leave them a small gift.

Here's to another wonderful Halloween!
