Disney day 1!

I'm going to add in our story behind Disney before we get into all the details of Disney!  Every year my kids get a week off in the fall, it's called their fall break.  This year I decided to do something really fun with the kids so we all sat down together to decide where to go for break.  We looked up a bunch of different places to go and of course the kids were unanimous with Disney.  So that Friday I went to talk to a travel agent and get the price of such trip.  After she told me the cost, my jaw about hit the floor.  I told the kids we might not be able to go and we will have to pick somewhere else.  That Sunday we went to church.  After Mass we were heading out to leave.  We are usually in the middle crowd coming out.  Well as we walked out the door of church, Adriana bent down and picked up a paper off the ground and handed it to me.  I looked down and saw it was a Disney World flyer.  I asked her if she knew what it meant and I replied that it meant God wanted us to go to Disney World!  I booked the trip the next week and had 10 months to pay for it!  It really was an amazing experience and shows how God can help you figure out tough decisions!
Speed up several months and it is now time for our vacation!  This was my boys first airplane flight and Adriana's first flight that she can remember.  I think they were just as excited about this as they were Disney World :)
The kids all did amazing on the flight and each had a DVD player with movies they each picked out.  Joey even took a little nap on the flight.
After landing that night, we headed to our hotel which was the Caribbean Beach Resort.  This place was amazing!  Since we got in late that night we didn't very long to look around and the kids were exhausted from all the excitement!
Tomorrow starts our first day at the parks!

Grant's Farm!

Another favorite for Halloween time is to go to Grant's Farm.  Now it seems like it is the only time we make it out there.
This year we started out feeding the goats.  These were some VERY hungry goats!
Adriana!  There is something behind you!!!
Now for a relaxing ride on the merry go round!
Nothing better than a light savor fight between boys!
This picture cracks me up!  This is the scary look!
This would have been a great picture had it turned out better :(
 Super star!
We had another great night and obviously from my kids wearing short sleeves, it was always great weather!  We can't wait for another great night next year!

Raking up the leaves!

Every fall, my tree lets loose of all of its many leaves.  So every fall I put my little ones to work earning their keep :)
Yes, the are very cute when they are hard at work!
But every year after they get done raking up all the leaves, they do the unthinkable and make a giant mess of said pile :)
This picture cracks me up of Andrew jumping and Joey peeking from behind the tree :)
 Super woman!!!!
 Belly flop!
 Woohoo!
 My sweet little angles!
Wait, what's this?  I take a sweet picture of myself and when I go to look at it, I find this!  So this is what they do behind my back!
As if the jumping didn't make a big enough mess, let's just make sure the pile is really destroyed!
And this is what they do to the poor dogs!  Make them try on their Halloween costume then make them watch at the door as they get to have all the fun!
Eventually the leaves did all get raked up!  So once again a clean yard, at least until next fall!

Daniels Pumpkin Patch!

Today we met up with my friend, Debbie, and her kids, Chase and Reece, at Daniels Pumpkin Patch.  This is a smaller pumpkin patch but it close by and its one that we have really come to enjoy!
One of the things the kids really enjoy is cutting up the ears of corn.  My older two can spend hours doing this!
While Adriana and Andrew cut up ears of corn, Joey and I headed inside to play in some cut up corn :)
And we also drove the tractor around......alright it was just in our imagination, but it was still fun :)
Here is the boys playing on the swing!
 My three crazy monkeys!!!
And the five kids having fun on a tire swing.
We had a great time and can't wait to come back next year!!

Adriana's 9th birthday!

This year for her birthday, Adriana wanted to invite all the girls in her class so she choose to have her birthday party at Great Skate with Janet since their birthdays are just two weeks apart.  The girls had a blast and loved sharing their birthday party together!
Here is the big birthday girl!

Joey's first day of prek!

Today is the first day of school for Joey! I can't believe this is our last year of preschool forever!  He will be a big boy in kindergarten next year!  Where has all the years gone!
He was super excited to start school since his siblings have been in school for several weeks now.  I know he is going to do big things in school and get prepared for starting real school next year!

Apple picking!

We decided for Labor Day to head on over to Grafton to go apple picking.  This is always a favorite for the kids and boy do they pick lots of apples.  This year I didn't seem to get as many pictures, I guess doing this as a single parents makes for less eyes watching the kids so I'm usually not taking as many pictures and instead I'm just trying to keep up with the kids!
Yes, sadly that was all the apple picking pictures I got.  But I did get a few pictures of the kids playing.
I also got a picture of each of the kids next to the measuring stick so maybe I can remember to get a picture of them next to it next year and we'll see how much they've grown :)
But we did have a great time and we even went out to lunch at the landing dock.  I love spending days like this with my kids!
