Day at the Zoo!

On Thursday Oct. 9 we took a trip with several friends to the Zoo. We started off at the zoomagination station for 45 minutes of play with all of our friends! It is a really great place. It is all in one room closed off so you don't have to worry about any escapies. All three of the kids had a great time. They had a little bit for each age group. Here is Adriana and Ava having fun playing in the sand.Andrew played in a sand table filled with bird seed for probably 25 minutes. He loved that table. He also had one of the helpers playing with him. She would fill her hand with bird seed and he would pretend a stuffed bird was eating it. He had the best time playing with her. Another area had a flower garden where you could plant flowers then pretend to water them. Adriana played in this area for awhile, ofcourse, then Andrew eventually joined her. They also had a little baby section just for kids under 2 years old. So Joey got to have a little fun playing as well! After the 45 minutes of playing in this area we headed out to see all the animals. We first headed to see the penquins but they were cleaning the tanks so you could only see the ones outside. It bummed Adriana and Ava out who loves the penquins. So the kids then decided we would head to see the hippos. On the way we saw the elephants. Adriana has loved elephants since she was little. You can kind of see the elephants in the back ground of the picture. There was also an aquarium with fish in it that the kids liked along the path. After seeing the hippos and the other animals along rivers edge the kids just decided to walk around and see where we end up. So we just walked and looked at animals. When we reached the front of the zoo again the kids were excited to see the big pond with very large fish in it. Andrew was just mesmorized by the fish.No Andrew! Don't jump!......Sissy saving her little brother from falling in.Now the kids were all getting tired so we decided to finish the day off by stopping by Build a Bear and getting a new friend. Adriana picked out a stuffed giraff which she named Princess Snow White (go figure its named after a princess........ha!) Here she is helping the worker put the heart into it.Andrew made a stuffed tiger which he named "Cat", very original:) Here he is giving his heart a kiss before placing it in the stuffed animal. And Ava and Joey both made a stuffed Kangaroo. Joey's kangaroo was named Roo, which is also his nickname. I'm not sure what Ava named hers but I'm sure it was something very cute. Here is a picture of Ava shyly kissing her heart. We had a very fun day playing with our friends and seeing all the animals. We will definitely be back to visit again. So we skip our way home! And we say bye to our friends Whitney and Ava! Hope to play with you guys again soon!
