2 year checkup

Today Joey had his two year old checkup, since I forgot the one last week. Doctor said he is doing wonderful! He has a very large vocabulary and creating sentences above where he should be for a boy. He is also doing great with his beginning of potty training. As far as him being more aggressive than my other two ever were, she said the younger children tend to do this more than the first ones. She said to tell Andrew he needs to stand up for himself when Joey gets aggressive with him and I should just stand back and let them figure it out. Other than that, Joey is wonderful!
His two year old stats are:
height: 37"-off the charts (go figure)
weight: 28 lbs-between 75-90%
He is a big boy and just had a huge growth spurt from his last appointment. So far he is the tallest of our kids at this age by an inch.

Making changes

For my blogger followers, I am changing my settings on my blog for only invited to read. I've had a couple of strange comments from people I don't know on my blog so I am changing it. I will be changing it sometime in the next couple of days, but please feel free to let me know if you want to read it and as long as I know who you are I will let you in. Sorry to have to do this, but I don't want a bunch of strange people seeing what my kids are doing. Thanks for understanding!

Finally caught up!

Well all my blogger followers can finally catch up on the Weber's lastests as I finally got caught up on the month! See what a good nights sleep can do for a momma! Hope you all enjoy and I will try to stay caught up from now on!

Christmas on Mainstreet!

This past Saturday we headed down to Mainstreet St. Charles for all their Christmas festivities. We arrived down there just in time for the Christmas parade. They had all the different Santa's from history all on parade along with some other Christmas favorites.
Here is the kids waiting for the parade. Here are a few pictures of some of the Christmas characters. I don't know who they all are so I'm just going to show the pictures.Adriana was the only one brave enough to get her picture taken with a few of the characters. So here she is.After the parade, we walked around mainstreet and got some hot chocolate and some of Grandma's Cookies (which were some of the best cookies I have ever had!).
Then we headed down to the riverfront for some ice skating. This was Chris' first time skating and only Joey's second time so it was interesting to watch both of them try to skate.
Here is Adriana showing off her skating moves.Andrew doing his best skating.Joey choose to use a bucket instead of trying by himself. Adriana was helping him around the rink.
We had so much fun! I really hope they keep bringing the ice skating rink back every year, it was a great end to a perfect Christmas day!

Happy 2nd birthday baby Joey!

On Dec. 12th we celebrated Joey's 2nd birthday. We just did it with family as we have a party planned for Joey in January with all his friends. Joey got his cake and opened his present from us which was a truck that made music and vibrated.
Here is Joey's cake. Joey listening as we are singing happy birthday to him!Joey blowing out his birthday candle.Birthday party to come soon! We just wanted to spread out the boys birthdays since they are both in Dec. and all the Christmas parties there are. We promise we won't leave the poor third born without a party!
Happy birthday baby Joey!!!!

St. Nick!

On Dec. 5th of every year we celebrate St. Nick and this is the night that Santa comes to our house and picks up the kids Christmas list and leaves a gift for them. This year it worked out great because it was the same night as the clubhouse party so I told them Santa was coming straight from the clubhouse to our house so they needed to get to bed early (it especially worked because Santa was yawning at the clubhouse and I told the kids Santa was getting tired so we better hurry before he falls asleep).
When we got home from the clubhouse we threw out some reindeer food so the reindeers knew where to stop. Then we headed in to get to sleep. Andrew was asleep but maybe an hour and comes down to see if Santa had come yet. Well Chris and I were just relaxing on the couch and luckily hadn't put out the gifts yet. So we sent him back off to bed and told him Santa wouldn't come until everyone was asleep in the house.
Then next morning Andrew woke everyone up at 5:30am to tell us Santa had come.
Well St. Nick brings the same thing to our house every year. I make a blanket for the kids each year that reminds me of something they really like then they get a new ornament for the tree that also is special to them.
So this year Adriana got a Tinkerbell fairy blanket because she has been very much into Tinkerbell during the year.

I forgot to get a picture of the ornaments, but Adriana's was an ornament of a girl playing soccer since this was her first year playing.
Andrew's blanket was power rangers (I really wanted to get Trans Formers but couldn't find the material), but he loves power rangers too so it worked out.
Andrew'w ornament was of a boy playing basketball because of Andrew's latest love of basketball.
Joey got a Bob the Builder blanket because of his love of Bob the Builder.
(he is naked on his blanket because we are in the middle of potty training and he doesn't want to wear clothes while we are at home). Joey's ornament was of a train with his name on it because he loves trains!
Of course St. Nick leaves something for mommy and daddy as well. We get our family ornament every year from St. Nick. Here is our ornament this year.Although the kids blankets look small in the picture because they are folded, they actually fit a twin bed. And there isn't much too them now, as the years go on and I get a little free time I would love to make them each a quilt or some kind of special blanket (maybe with their old sport shirts or something from the year before). We shall see what my creative juices eventually bring out!

Santa at the clubhouse!

Every year my neighborhood has a party at the clubhouse with Santa. Santa visits the clubhouse and gives each boy and girl a little gift. Both boys got a book and Adriana got a doll. Then they have fresh baked chocolate chip cookies with drinks downstairs for everyone to have. This is also one of my kids favorites and this year it happened to be on St. Nick night so it made it extra special.
There is a funny story with this picture too. Joey was scared of Santa so Santa got off his chair so the boys could sit on it and he would stand behind them. Well Joey didn't like this either so I had to grab him but Andrew wouldn't get off the chair so Santa came over and pretended to sit on him. Andrew thought this was soooooo funny and couldn't stop laughing!

Breakfast with the Angels!

Every year we attend the breakfast with Angels at Harvester Christian Church (where I attend MOPS). We do this instead of breakfast with Santa because I want to give more meaning to Christmas instead of it being all about Santa plus the kids believe these are real Angles and love coming here.
They have each family take a picture by the Christmas tree that they mail to you, then each child gets to do a craft which is an ornament of the manager, then we come down for breakfast and they tell the story of baby Jesus and all the Angels walk around singing Christmas carols. Its one of my favorite Christmas events.
Here is Adriana with one of the Angels. Andrew with another Angel.

Joey wasn't too sure of the Angel so I had to be with him. After breakfast with the Angels we headed up to Andrew's preschool where they had Christmas shopping for the kids along with crafts and an appearance by Santa with his reindeer and sleigh. Although we didn't go in to see Santa, the kids did get to do all their Christmas shopping for everyone. Then of course we had to see the reindeer and sleigh outside.
Here are the kids inside the sleigh. Here is a picture of the sleigh with the reindeer.Joey was a little afraid of the reindeer.Adriana couldn't wait to go up and pet him.And I think Andrew was just as excited! This was such a fun day for the kids and we can't wait to come back next year!

Happy 4th birthday Andrew!

We celebrated Andrew's birthday on Dec. 1st with a small cake and family. He also got to open his gift that mommy and daddy got him (Mario Cart for Wii which he has wanted for a long time).

Here is Andrew with his cake.Andrew blowing out his candles. On Dec. 5th we celebrated his birthday with all his friends at Jump 4 Fun where Andrew choose to have his party.

Here is some of kids sitting nice for the owner to give them all the rules.Andrew's birthday cake (of course its Trans Formers which is his favorite thing right now).

I was very proud of my big boy this year. He made sure to look at everyone who's gift he opened and tell them thank you (we had a hard time with this last year). I think I'm really going to enjoy Andrew being 4!
Happy Birthday big boy!
