If I haven't mentioned it in the past, Andrew has taken on a liking.....ok more like an obsession with hockey. My nephew plays for St. Peters Spirit and I'm not sure if that is what has started all this or not. But he eats, sleeps, talks hockey all day! Seriously he has this hockey video (I think its all star NHL plays or something) that he watches everyday. Its more of an adult video than a child's but he LOVES it! I told him once he could ice skate then we would talk about joining a hockey team. So I signed him up for skating lessons and he was doing great! I took him up to the rec plex for a couple of practices and he would stay on the ice for the entire two hours practicing his skating! Well now that he knows how to skate, I had to keep my end of the bargain and sign him up for hockey lessons. So Andrew is now a proud hockey player for the St. Peters Spirit. Luckily for us that my nephew plays so we got all the equipment handed down to us. The only thing I had to buy was a stick because my nephew uses a left handed stick and Andrew is right handed, but this will be a Christmas gift for him since he asked Santa for hockey stuff.
Well now that he is signed up to play he decided that he wanted to go watch the St. Louis Blues play. Ummmm, after paying for him to start hockey we no longer have any money so we had to do the second best thing. I found out all the dates and times for the Blues practice at the Mills and told him I would take him to that. Well that made him just as happy!
When we got there, I went and sat up in the bleachers with the other two kids but Andrew insisted on being right down by the ice. So here he is obsessing over the Blues from front row spot!

And after watching the Blues practice hockey Andrew tells me that he can play better than them! Ha, one can only dream.......
