Boys checkup
I went in today for Andrew's 3 year and Joey's 1 year checkups. Andrew went first with his checkup. He is doing great, still off the charts for his height and 75th percentile for his weight. Although, the doctor and I started talking about his persistent behavior and the doctor started commenting on the possibility of him being OCD. I'm not sure I quite believe that at this point as many of his traits is that of a typical 3 year old. I think he is just going to have a little of my type A personality and loves to be persistent with everything. Anyway, I'm supposed to keep an eye on him and if things keep going the same then she wants to see him again in 6 months. Other than that he is doing great. Next was Joey's turn. It seems he is not doing as well in the growth area. He has dropped down to the 90 percentile for his height, which don't get me wrong its still great but he was always off the charts. So in the past almost 4 months he hasn't even grown a full inch, which explains why he hasn't been outgrowing any of his clothes lately. With those results the doctor decided to do a iron test on him. The test came back that he has a low iron count. So he is now on an extra iron supplement that he has to take with his other vitamins. Hopefully this will get the boy growing again. We go back in for another blood test in a month to see how his iron count is doing. He is doing great on his weight on the other hand, and is still between 50-75 percentile. Other than that he is a very healthy little one year old boy!

My big girl!
I just spent New Years Eve upsetting myself with how fast my kids are growing up and then I got more news to prove it to myself. Adriana came to me yesterday morning showing me that she has a loose tooth!!!! What?! You are only 5, you're not even in kindergarten yet and you are loosing your teeth!!!! I just wanted to sit down and cry, I'm not ready for this yet! So I straightened myself up and decided that I guess I better get her a toothfairy pillow, I've been putting it off for so long now. So we sat down together and looked at all the different pillows and picked one out off of ebay. Now hopefully we get this before she looses her tooth. I can't believe my little girl is growing up soooooo fast!!!!!

Happy New Years!!!!!
Well another year has come and quickly gone and I sit here wondering where the time has gone. As I spend another new years eve working all night, I sit here pondering on the year that has passed. I have come up with several observations over the passed year:
1. How fast the year has gone by. The other night I sat up watching home videos of Adriana when she was a baby and they all seemed like they happend yesterday. I actually started to tear up thinking how fast the past five years have gone. So my goal for this next year is to enjoy every minute I have with my kids being young!!! So if it means spending those days at the park instead of cleaning like I should, going to the zoo for the fifth time this month because the kids are so excited to see the animals again, going to the fourth pumpkin patch in two weeks because each one is different, and seeing Santa for the sixth time before Christmas because "I forgot to tell him something mom" I will! I'm realizing how quickly the time is going and before I know it they will know about Santa and the pumpkin patch will no longer be fun. I want to cherish every minute of their life that I can! It all goes by so fast!
2. How lucky I am to be married to such an amazing husband! I know how difficult I am to live with but he still manages and with little complaints. I often take out a lot of my frustrations on him and he listens to me melting down and instead of steaming up himself he just puts his arms around me and tells me its alright! I often complain about the little things he asks me to do, but very seldom will he ever complain to me. He makes sure I am his number one priority in life which I don't always return like I should. He is the most caring and loving man I have ever met and I am so blessed to be married to him! I want to work on returning all the love to him that his has given me over the past several years!!!
3.Becoming a healthy family. I know my kids will probably never have to deal with weight issues as they grow to fast to gain much weight, but I do want them to be healthy. I know Chris and I really need to work on eating better and doing more exercise and I want the kids to grow up in a family like that. I don't worry so much about how much I weigh or measurements as much as I do with how good I feel. I know I will have so much more energy and healthier all around when I don't eat so much junk and I really want to accomplish that this year for me and my family!!!
-So in a nutshell this is as best as I can get for new years resolutions. I know I am very blessed for everything I have and I don't want to take advantage of it anymore! My family is my life and I want to cherish it as much as I can! So although I didn't do anything exciting for new years or have any flashy photos of anything because of another year worked, I do have my resolutions to remind me of the year thats passed. I hope everyone had a fun and safe new years and I look forward to what 2009 will bring us, just not too fast!!!!

Christmas morning!
We came home Christmas Eve and Santa had left the kids each a pair of pajamas to sleep in. The kids were super excited to put their new pjs on. Adriana's had little dogs on hers that she called "Marley". We then put Joey to bed and got the other two ready to go to bed. They were soooo excited!!! They both laid down in Adriana's bed and I read them a couple of stories. As I was getting ready to leave I told them they had to go to sleep or Santa wouldn't come. Adriana immediately closed her eyes really hard, it was funny. I left and checked on them 10 minutes later and they were both out cold. The next morning I managed to get up just a few minutes before they did and had the video camera out ready to video tape their expressions. Adriana came down first then Andrew headed down. The look on Andrew's face and his expressions were priceless!!!! I was so glad to get it on tape! This is the first year that Adriana is reading so I let her read all the tags and hand out the presents. She loved her new job!!! Unfortunately I spent to much time video taping and didn't get very many pictures. The kids had a great Christmas and thanked Santa for all the presents. We then wished Jesus a happy birthday!

Here is the few pictures I did get from the morning:
I think Joey was more interested in his milk and breakfast than he was with his presents!

Andrew examining his Thomas the Train game.
Adriana showing me her favorite Littlest Pet Shop animal, of course it was the horse.

Christmas Eve at Maw Maw's house!
On Christmas Eve we went to Maw Maw and Paw Paw's house and spent the evening. We all had a great time! Its one of the few times I get to see everyone together. Kevin and Jenny came up from Oklahoma the evening before and spent the earlier part of Christmas Eve at our house. Its always nice getting to visit with them especially since we only see them a few times a year! The kids were spoiled rotten as always!!! It makes it a lot easier for Santa to not have to bring as much to our house since they almost have everything from my parents house!!!!
Here is Joey opening up his presents. He had so much fun this year!!!!
Adriana opening her presents and you can see how excited she was to get some Littlest Pet Shops!!!

And here is Andrew opening up his gifts. He was super fast opening his gifts so it was hard to get pictures of him....ha!
Here is Adriana and her American Girl doll (yes, its a knock off but she doesn't really know that!) We were going to get her a real one, but I wasn't sure if she was going to like it. Well now I know she does so I think we might have to get her the real one now!
Joey on his Police Motorcycle he got.....hum, police.....do you see a connection....hehehe!!!!
Adriana loving on her Fur Real S'mores horse! I think this was one of her favorite gifts, especially with her obsession over horses!!!!
Andrew on his dinosaur. He wasn't too sure about it at first, but then fell in love with it!
Adriana and Andrew riding on the dinasaur together
Here is the kids table for dinner.....yes, that is my kid eating with a net over his face (not that I always admit it :)!!!!! hahaha! Crazy little boy!!!! It wouldn't be Andrew if he wasn't being silly somehow!!!! Notice how Adriana and Jacob just competely iqnore him and keep eating :)
Here is Kevin and Jenny!!! I don't get to see them to often so I have to take a picture of them while I can!!! We miss you guys!!!!

Another trip to see Santa!
I know, I know.....another Santa trip? But my kids were really wanting to see him again so of course I couldn't tell them no. I know I've only got a few years left of believing in Santa so I'm going to take advantage of it while I can and take them as often as I can. We went back to Bass Pro Shop on Saturday night since this is one of the places I can convince Chris to going. We got our fast pass then went around the store looking at all the dead animals and the different fish. The kids had a great time, but this was the first time I had tears on Santa's lap. Joey I think is done seeing the old man so he started crying when I set him on Santa's lap. But we were able to get the picture they take there. I tried to take one myself, but wouldn't you know it.....my camera battery went dead. So I don't have any pictures to post of this visit. Oh well, I still have my own keepsake at home. Before leaving we grabbed a bag of the kettle corn they sell out front and headed out to look at Christmas lights. All we needed was a little hot chocolate and it would have been perfect. After the Christmas lights tour, we went home and hopped into our pjs for a fun movie night. We put in a kid friendly Christmas movie and all four of us snuggled on the couch to watch the movie (Joey crashed out early and was already in bed.). I'm not sure who was more tired because I woke up to a blank tv screen and all four of us sleeping on the couch!!! Boy are we a boring bunch because it was only 10:30 when I woke up! Oh well, it was a really fun night though!!!!
Adriana's School Christmas Program!
On Wednesday Adriana had her school Christmas program. It was really cute! The kids all learned several different Christmas songs and sang them for us. They all walked in ringing bells and walked into their spots. Everyone stopped singing as soon as the music stopped except for our little Adriana who was still belting out the song:) It was so sweet, but of course she was embarressed and quickly looked away from everyone. The rest of the program was cute and we could hear Adriana singing almost louder than everyone else so I was quite the proud momma!!!! Maybe we have a future singer on our hands.......ha! Anyway here are some of the pictures from the show.

And we were able to get it all on camcorder as well, even her solo!!! I'm sure she will love us someday when we play it for all her friends.....hahaha!

The Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular!
On Sunday we went to see the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular! I've been waiting for this to come back to St. Louis so I could take Adriana. We took my niece to see this when she was little down in Branson and she loved it and I've been waiting each year to see if it comes back to St. Louis or Branson to go and we finally made it!
We went with my mom, sister, Kaitlyn, Adriana, and Andrew. I didn't bring Joey because you have to pay full price for his ticket even though he would just be sitting on my lap and I just couldn't see spending that much money for a lap seat. The kids had a blast though and loved the show. Andrew was so excited every time Santa would come out on stage. It is definitely worth every penney spent to see the sparkle in their eyes watching the show.
Here are some pictures from the show. I couldn't use my own camera during the show as they don't allow it, but here are the pictures from their website.
The dancing dollies:
This was the nativity scene. It was probably one of the best I have ever seen. They had live animals and all on stage. It was just amazing!!!!
The rockettes dancing:
Here is a picture of Kaitly, Adriana, and Andrew at the Fox Theatre. This is such an amazing theatre and I love coming to it.
Here is Adriana and the girl that plays the nutcracker scene. I asked Adriana if she was scared in this picture, but she just said no she was just smiling.
When I was little I always said I was going to be a police officer or a Rockette dancer, now you know which one I choose.....ha! Probably a lot easier to do than become a Rockette. But of course Adriana now wants to become a Rockette, I guess its a good thing that she has her height on her side!!!! We shall see.....
