I finally gave in!!!!
I finally gave in! After listening to people talk about it at the gym, at the playgroups, at the stores, at work.........EVERYWHERE!!!!! I finally gave in to the Twilight phenomenon. I'm not into vampires or dark stories very much, but as much as I have heard people talking about this book I decided I would give it a try and read it. I picked it up from the library where I had it reserved on Saturday and began reading it. I could not put that stupid book down! I had the whole book finished by Sunday evening! I was even up until 4am on Saturday night reading it. Everyone was right and it was an awesome book. Well I couldn't wait to see the movie then so I rented it on Sunday night and Chris and I watched it together. Chris loved the movie and even watched it again today. I thought the movie was alright but of course movies never do the books justice. I quickly put a reserve on the next book at the library, but figured I would go ahead and read this book again to see if I missed anything in my quick reading over the weekend then Chris said he wants to read it when I'm done. So guess what all you Twilight fans, you have me hooked!!!!!
Easter at MeMaw and PePaw's house
Our last stop on Easter day was to MeMaw and PePaw's house. Unfortunately the kids didn't get to see their cousins since they were sick and unable to make it out but we still had a lot of fun with all the adults.
First we started off with an Easter egg hunt. Both the kids were ready to go and find their eggs!
Here comes Adriana back from the hunt with lots of colorful eggs.....good job Adriana!
And here comes Andrew back with..........what no eggs?....but wait he did find the basketball! Yes, my sons obsession with sports continues! I tell you, if this boy doesn't grow up to play at least one sport I don't know what he will do!

Aunt Emily helping Joey find some eggs too!
Look Mom, I found an egg and a soccer ball! Another boy fascinated with sports?!
Then came their favorite, the pinata! Here is Andrew giving it a last hug before the beating begins!
Yikes! Adriana I don't think I would stand that close to the crazy wacking boy!!!!
Adriana may look all girly girly but she does have a wicked swing!

Easter at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's
Our first stop on Easter morning was to Maw Maw and Paw Paw's house. I didn't get any pictures of the kids the first half because I left my camera at home and Chris had to run back and grab it for me. But I did get pictures of the Easter egg hunt.
Here is Andrew looking for his eggs.
And even baby Joey was getting in on some of the action, although he did keep throwing his eggs out of the basket :)
Daddy helping Adriana and Andrew.
And the boys helping each other out.
The kids were cracking me up as they are not very competitive at all. When the picked up the eggs they decided who it would go to based on if it was a girl color or boy color. So they were constantly handing each other eggs, it was so cute. I guess that is much better than fighting over the eggs.
We had a great time and really want to thank you Maw Maw and Paw Paw!!!

So here is Jacob, Adriana, Kaitlyn, Joey, and Andrew.

I know Easter bunny was the best this year than he has ever been, but it was mostly because Andrew was in major needs for a new bike so we decided to give it to him for Easter then of course we had to get the other two a little extra as well so the Easter bunny tripled his spending this year (now hopefully they forget next year when he goes back to being a cheap bunny......ha!) So here is their baskets waiting for them to wake up.
It didn't take them long to wake up either. At 6:15 in the morning I heard the pitter patter of little feet and then a "Wow, Easter bunny came!!!!) So we began our morning bright and early. The kids were very excited about all their new gifts and couldn't wait to play with them.
Here is Joey with his digger truck (which Andrew loves just as much as Joey!)
And Andrew with his new bike that he was so proud of. He kept calling it his big boy bike, well at least his knees aren't hitting his chin anymore :)
And I promise Adriana was there but somehow I didn't get any pictures of her that morning. But don't worry there will be plenty more pictures coming.

Easter village at Purina Farms
Last Wednesday I decided to take the kids to Purina Farms Easter Village since Adriana was on Spring Break. We also met up with my my sister in law, Maria, and her kids. We had a great time and it was perfect weather to go. I have never been there before so I was very impressed with how much there is to do there.
First Andrew found the boxes with corn and trucks in them to play with and he was in Heaven! I bet the kids played with this for a good 30 minutes and I still had to drag Andrew away.
Next we went into the Easter Village where they had all kinds of baby animals that the kids could pet. There was baby bunnies, chicks, ducks, geese, lambs, puppies, kittens, and some others. Adriana liked this a lot as she is definitely my animal lover. She could have easily spent hours in there.
Then we went outside to find the cousins. There was a small pond with gold fish in it that the kids loved looking at and pointing out there favorite fish.
Here is the kids with Gabe, Michael, and Angeline. They were all pointing out their favorite fish.
They had a neat little Easter background set up for pictures and here is my best attempt to get a picture of the three of them. Notice no one is looking at me and Joey is screaming to get down so he can run in the grass. Oh well maybe a better picture next year!
Here is Gabe, Micheal, and Angeline. No tears here but still no one is looking at me.....ugh! Maybe I need to stand on my head to get some eyes looking at me ;)
Last we got to go on a wagon ride. I forgot to get a picture of the kids on the wagon, but I did get one of Gabe and Andrew watching in awe as the tractor drove by....gotta love the boys!
We had a really fun time and I'm sure we will be back again next year!

Meet Lilly!
I know I have been a little behind on getting all my Easter photos on here so I will be trying to play catch up this week. Adriana has been on me to get a picture of her guinea pig Lilly on the blog so here is one of the newest members of our family......Adriana's beloved guinea pig Lilly!!!! I forgot to get a picture of Andrew with his so that will be coming soon.

Adriana has been a wonderful momma to her little guniea pig and gives it lots of love and attention everyday. She hand feeds it carrots and celery and spoils it rotten.
Andrew's, on the other hand, is now living with mommy and daddy. He is having a hard time understanding what "gentle" means so we are working on it a little everyday. His playtime has to be supervised with mommy or daddy right next to him. I think it was a little much for a three year old boy to take care of so it will be staying with us until he understands a little more but he does enjoy playing with him also.

Fun day with friends!
The other day we were able to babysit some friends. My friend Debbie had asked if I could babysit her kids Chase and Reece and of course we were very excited about this since these are some of my kids favorite friends. They had a great time playing together. Here is a few pictures that I was able to get of them.
Adriana and Chase enjoying their lunch picnic outside on the deck.
Joey is only 6 days older than Reece so I think he really likes it when she comes over to play and he has someone his own age. Here is the two of them sitting on the couch together.
