The best mom ever!

Over the past year Adriana has taken a huge liking to American Girl dolls and reads a lot of their books. She had yet to own one because they were very expensive and I wanted her to keep it as something special so she would appreciate it and take good care of it. Well last fall I promised her I would take her to Chicago for my birthday and we would go to the American Girl store. She has been so excited since then and always talks about it. Well I finally let my mom buy Adriana her first American Girl doll "Kit" for Easter. Well my mom always over does everything so Adriana also got three more used dolls from ebay. So now she has four dolls. Well time was quickly approaching for us to be going to Chicago and money has been getting tighter around the Weber house. But I knew how much my little girl was looking forward to this trip. Thats when my wonderful mother stepped in. She has booked us a wonderful trip to Chicago. We are heading up tonight and staying just outside of Chicago. Then in the morning we are getting up early to head in to the big city! My mom booked a hotel room on Michigan Ave. that has an American Girl package. It includes a bed for Adriana's American Girl doll, a shirt for the doll, an ice cream sundae that night, and a few other perks. She also got the package for Andrew so he can put his build a bear in the bed (we promised the kids they could use their gift cards there that they got for Christmas). We have an awesome weekend planned of visiting the Sears Tower, going to the giant leggo store for the boys, and visiting the Navy Pier. My mom also got Adriana the Spend the Day at the American Girl store package which includes $130 gift card, lunch at the store, trip to the doll salon, and a photo shoot at the studio with a complimentary magazine featuring Adriana on the cover. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful mom to make this trip possible for my kids! They have been looking so forward to this for the past several months. Oh and as a special treat for me, my mom is taking me shopping on Michigan Ave for some new clothes! I think she is tired of seeing me wear the same outfits for the past several years since I haven't bought myself anything but running shoes in the past 4 years. Thank you sooooooooo much mom and I can't wait for this weekend!!!!!
