Fishing derby!

This past Saturday was our neighborhool annual fishing derby! My kids always look so forward to this every year! Well this year Chris and my parents were signed up for a carry concealed weapon class on the same day. So me not being much of a fisherman had to call in for reinforcements. So over came my mother and father in law to help me out. It worked out perfect! So the 6 of us headed down to the pond. The derby started at 8am and the kids excitedly threw in their lines.....

Fianlly the fish began biting!
Andrew got the first fish, well actually he got the first several fish.....

He even braved it up and held one of the bass he caught.....

Adriana even caught a couple of fish!

Andrew was able to catch 4 fish, Adriana 2 fish, but poor Joey didn't catch any :( This year it wasn't quite enough though and the kids didn't win but they all had fun and already counting down the days until they get to do it again next year!
